Cook in the making
A 2.5 hour children’s cookery session for budding cooks aged 6-10. Morning Sessions (am) 9.30 to 12.00
A great activity during the school holidays full of hands-on activities. The children will learn how to prepare and cook a selection of recipes. Primarily having fun but as a result developing their abilities and confidence.
During this children’s cookery Session they will be shown how much fun there is in cooking and they will learn about how they can create some of the everyday favourites.
They will be taught the basics skills of cooking through demonstration and guidance, followed by them doing it themselves. It’s a great confidence builder and I have watched the most timid of children develop their co-ordination and confidence.
Some parents have experienced a change in eating habits where the children start to eat food that they would have normally turned their nose up at! It gives the child more trust in what they can eat and are willing to try.
I try to maintain a respectable level of healthy and naughty food used!
The children are supervised at all times during this children’s cookery session and the classes take place in small numbers with a relaxed atmosphere. The emphasis is on having fun and learning new skills. With a maximum of 4 in a session and plenty of instructors they will be encouraged to have a go at all stages.
we cook different recipes on each course so if children return they will be cooking something different.
